Caught Stanley Donen's Funny Face (1957) on Arts Central last night. Surprisingly watchable, with the entertaining musical numbers & dance items, and an romance unfolding between between Fred Astaire & Audrey Hepburn. A high point I thought was when Hepburn's unassuming bookworm character had blossomed into a fashion model with a spontaneous flair in posing for the camera. Scenes from around Paris were also stunning. Didn't watch it to the end, but I suspect a typical "happily ever after" ending.
